The building may be tired but too beautiful to consider knocking it down, or protected under local building conservation legislation, either way, the building often gets a reprieve.

One such building has been Summerdale, a three storey dwelling on the outskirts of Liverpool, situated in an idyllic location next to McGoldrick Park.

The roof was the first thing that had to be done to ensure that the building did not fall into any further state of disrepair.

As can be seen, the refurbishment works are half way through and the final completed pictures will be added to the site in due course.
